Prescribed Qualifications

The Council has prescribed the following qualifications as deemed equivalent to the qualifying examinations of the Institute in accordance with Clause 4(e) and Clause 5(c) of the Constitution.

University Degrees

• Bachelor of Accounting from UM, UKM, UPM, UUM, USM, UiTM, UIAM, UNITEN & MMU
• Bachelor of Management (Accounting) from UTM
• Bachelor of Accounting (Information Systems) (Hons) from UUM
• BA (Hons) in Accounting from University of Hertfordshire
• BA (Hons) in Finance from University of Hertfordshire
• Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) from RMIT University
• Bachelor of Commerce (Professional Accounting) from Murdoch University, Australia
• Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Charles Sturt University, Australia
• BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance, Oxford Brookes University
• Degrees from Australian, NZ, Canadian, US and UK universities which are recognised by the respective national professional accounting bodies for their qualifying or advanced level of examinations.

Diplomas

• TAR College's Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Business Studies (Accounting)
• UiTM and ITM Diploma in Accountancy
• Ungku Omar Polytechnics' Diploma in Accounting
• Advanced diploma in accountancy from local university colleges
